Did you know the details of drywall?

Drywall is used to build walls and ceilings. It's also utilized to make a variety of design elements, such as eaves, arches, and other architectural details. Plywood and wood pulp, asbestos-cement board, and gypsum are all examples of drywall materials. Wood fiber and pulp boards are formed with wood grain and a variety of other surface characteristics by compressing layers or particles of wood together with adhesives. They also have high acoustic (sound-deadening) and thermal (insulating) properties. A mixture of Portland cement and asbestos fiber is wetted and then pressed into a board or sheet form to make asbestos-cement boards. Some asbestos-cement boards are treated with organic fibers to increase resiliency and ease of machining, and boards can also be treated with curing agents, water-repellent admixtures, and a number of other compounds to improve performance and ease of machining.    Did you know that the gypsum panel is one of the most prevalent drywall varieties?
